The CUES Model

Student and Family Support

Wraparound Services:

Student and Family Support Program

Sometimes the greatest barrier to learning begins outside the classroom. Through the Student and Family Support Program, CUES works alongside students and families to understand what may be affecting attendance, stability, confidence, or a child’s ability to focus on school.

At the heart of this work is relationship-building. Our team develops trust with students and families, stays connected to their needs, and works closely with community partners to help connect families with the right resources and support.

That can include help with food and housing insecurity, financial literacy, social-emotional and behavioral support, mentoring, and other needs that can affect a student’s ability to learn and thrive. By helping families address practical challenges, CUES helps create greater stability for students and reduces barriers that can interfere with learning.

The program is also focused on what comes next. Student and Family Support staff help students and parents prepare for the transition to high school, identify scholarship opportunities, explore programs and resources, and begin planning for college and other forms of advanced education. For many families, those next steps can feel distant or difficult to navigate. Our team helps make the process more understandable and provides guidance along the way.

That relationship continues beyond eighth-grade graduation. CUES stays connected with graduates, tracks their progress through high school, college, and beyond, and remains a resource as students take their next steps.

Through mentoring, practical support, long-term guidance, and trusted relationships, the Student and Family Support Program helps students succeed today while helping students and families prepare for the opportunities ahead.
