Education is at the Center of the CUES Model

At CUES, we believe students thrive when excellent teaching is paired with a school community that understands the whole child. Across All Saints, Holy Name, and Sacred Heart, students are challenged to grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, critical thinkers, and problem-solvers. Teachers set high expectations, use evidence-based instruction, monitor student progress, and provide the support students need to strengthen skills, build confidence, and prepare for high school and beyond.

But education does not happen in isolation. A student’s ability to learn is shaped by whether they feel safe, known, supported, and connected—and by the challenges their families may be navigating outside of school. The CUES Model brings education, faith, mental and behavioral health services, wraparound support, and community partnerships together around each student.

Faith & Belonging

Our Catholic identity helps shape school communities grounded in faith, compassion, respect, service, and the dignity of every person. Students are welcomed into a community where they are known, valued, and encouraged to recognize their own gifts and their responsibility to care for others.

CUES serves families from many faith backgrounds, and not every student who attends a CUES school is Catholic. Yet families embrace the values, traditions, sense of belonging, and formation that are part of a Catholic education. Many CUES graduates choose to continue that experience in Catholic high schools, carrying with them the academic foundation, faith-filled values, and sense of community developed during their years at CUES.

Mental & Behavioral Health

Students learn best when their emotional and behavioral needs are supported. School-based mental and behavioral health services give students access to caring professionals who can help them manage challenges, strengthen coping and relationship skills, build confidence, and remain engaged in learning.

Wraparound Services

Student and Family Support

Sometimes the greatest barrier to learning begins outside the classroom. CUES works alongside students and families to understand what may be affecting attendance, stability, or a child’s ability to focus on school. Through our Student and Family Support Program, families are connected with practical resources and support that help reduce those barriers and create greater stability for students.

That support also extends beyond a student’s years at CUES. Our team helps students and families begin thinking about high school, college, and other forms of advanced education long before those next steps arrive. For many families, college can feel far in the future or difficult to navigate. CUES helps make that path more understandable by working with students and parents to plan ahead, prepare for transitions, explore educational opportunities, and connect with the resources they need to continue their education.

The goal is not only to help students succeed today, but to help families see and prepare for what can come next.

Special Education

Through our partnership with Madonna Ability Alliance, specialized educational support is available within the CUES School System. Madonna is embedded at Holy Name School, giving students with disabilities from any of our three schools access to additional expertise and services within a supportive school environment.

This partnership allows CUES to better serve students with a range of learning and developmental needs while helping them remain connected to the CUES community.

After-School Care

Supporting students also means understanding the realities of family life. Many CUES parents and caregivers need dependable care beyond the end of the school day in order to maintain their work schedules.

Through partnerships with Completely KIDS and the Hope Center for Kids, CUES families have access to after-school programming that provides students with a safe, supportive place to spend those important hours after school while helping parents balance work and family responsibilities.

Together, these elements form the CUES Model: an approach centered on education and strengthened by faith, belonging, coordinated care, and practical support for the entire family.
