Behavioral Health Support

Supporting Students in and Beyond the Classroom

Behavioral, social, and emotional health play an important role in a student’s ability to learn. When students are managing challenges that affect relationships, behavior, attendance, confidence, or focus, those challenges can become barriers in the classroom.

Behavioral health support is one of the ways CUES helps reduce those barriers to learning. By connecting students with caring adults, practical skills, and appropriate resources, we help them strengthen relationships, manage challenges, stay engaged in school, and continue growing academically and personally.

Partnerships Make CUES Stronger

CUES does not do this work alone. Strong community partnerships allow us to bring additional expertise and resources directly to our students, families, teachers, and schools.

Our partnership with Boys Town through LIFT with Boys Town expands the behavioral and social-emotional support available within the CUES School System. By working together, CUES educators and Boys Town professionals can help create consistent, supportive school environments while providing additional assistance when students or families need it.

LIFT with Boys Town

LIFT with Boys Town is a school-centered approach designed to support students before behavioral or social-emotional challenges become larger barriers to their success.

The program brings together educators, students, families, community partners, and Boys Town experts to strengthen the systems of support surrounding a child. Its approach combines prevention with more targeted assistance, recognizing that some strategies benefit an entire school community while individual students and families may need additional support.

LIFT draws on Boys Town’s research-based experience working with children and families. Its school-based strategies help educators build relationships, teach practical social skills, respond consistently to behavior, and create calmer, more supportive learning environments.

For CUES, LIFT strengthens an important part of our whole-child approach: making sure students have the behavioral and social-emotional support they need to remain engaged in learning, build strong relationships, and move forward with confidence.
